Notes: The Plates of this massive 18th century encyclopedia were published in 12 volumes between 1772 and 1777, on about 4500 pages, about 80% of which are full sized engraved plates. Hporology is covered on 85 pages of Volume XXI, of which 25 (numberd 1-25) pages are text, the 60 plates are numbered I to XXIX (plus eight Suite de la Planche ...), followed by Pl.I to V, plus I.A to V.A and IB to IIIB for horological tools. Plates have printer marks in order A-Z, AA-ZZ, AAA-EEE and a-n. There are facsimile esitions of the whole encylocopedia , of the plates (e.g. BHM 674), and of only the horological plates (e.g. BHM 9655)available. There is also an English language translation of only the text {BHM 3433}.
