Notes: This appears to be the first printed book devoted to a clock (rather than mentioning timekeepers in passing), the described clock of Manua (Italy) is illustrated on the woodcut title illustration. [illustration is reproduced in Baille] The book itself only gives the first name of the author: Pier Adamo. Clock has a 24 hour dial, with 12 1nd 24 at the far left and far right dial positions, This must be "Italian hours" counted from sunset so noon ( I.e. XVIII ) still is at the top.
